Abstract

Conversando con uno de los chicos, surgió la posibilidad de que algunas personas externas a la unidad, vinculadas a cooperativas de trabajo, vinieran a dar capacitaciones en reciclaje y cuidado del medio ambiente. Así fue como participamos en un curso que nos permitió formarnos y, eventualmente, crear nuestra propia cooperativa con un grupo de compañeros. Casi un año después, uno de los compañeros, que es presidente del Centro Universitario, me preguntó si quería retomar el proyecto de marroquinería textil. Le contesté que sí, ya que existía la posibilidad de disponer nuevamente de un espacio. Fue así como, junto con otro compañero, retomamos el taller hasta el día de hoy.

While talking with one of the guys, the possibility arose that some people from outside the unit, connected to worker cooperatives, could come and give training in recycling and environmental care. That's how we ended up participating in a course that allowed us to train and, eventually, create our own cooperative with a group of colleagues. Almost a year later, one of the colleagues, who is the president of the University Center, asked me if I wanted to resume the leather goods and textile project. I said yes, since there was a possibility of having a space available again. That's how, along with another colleague, we restarted the workshop, which we continue to run to this day.
